DULCE DE LECHE RECIPE
Dulce de leche is available ready-made, however, most prefer making it at home. Normally we go through the whole process of heating milk and sugar for hours until it thickens and turn light brown, however, this process can go on for 6 to 8 hours or even longer depend on the quantity you making. However, I’m gonna be sharing with you a trick to making dulce de leche faster.
Not only will it save you time but also yield the perfect flavor
How to make Dulce de Leche?
All you need is a can of condensed milk and also a big vessel.
In a vessel place, an unopened can of condensed milk and fill the vessel with water slightly higher than the can (about 2 cms above the can) making sure the can is completely submerged in water. Place the vessel covered with a lid on the gas (high heat) until it comes to a boil. Simmer the can on medium heat for 2 to 3 hours depending on how thick and dark you’d like it to be.
Once done remove the can from the vessel and let cool completely. Moreover, do not attempt to open the can when hot. Make sure to cool it completely and then open it. Dulce de leche can also be made in a cooker, this is even faster, it takes about 40 mins. You can also find some videos on youtube that will help you make dulce de leche using these methods.
