This no ice cream maker needed Ice cream recipe is the easiest dessert to make this summer season. Mangoes are all around our local markets and who doesn’t love the King of fruits??
My family craves for mango ice cream (not the ready-made one’s loaded with flavorings and artificial coloring) but the ice cream that’s made using real mangoes. I do make my all-time favorite Mango Kulfi Recipe (must give it a shot if you’ve not tried it yet) but if I’m lazy and looking for a quick and healthy option, this is it !!
This Homemade Healthy Mango Ice cream is ready in 5 mins (freezing it for a couple of hours is not a compulsion) Its still creamy and thick
Ingredients For Our Healthy Mango Ice cream
Not ready-made puree’s but you need real chunks of ripe golden yellow mangoes. You may even use frozen mango chunks to make this vegan dessert. But I like to chop up some organic ripe mangoes to make this recipe. Make sure to use good quality mangoes as its the star ingredient for this recipe
This is the ingredient that gives the ice cream it’s creamy rich flavor. Frozen bananas are an essential ingredient to make vegan ice cream and are also a healthy substitute for whipping cream while you make homemade ice creams. I like to use ripe yellow banana’s. Don’t forget to freeze them before you churn it in the blender with the other ingredients
Dried coconut or desiccated coconut is another ingredient that adds flavor and texture to this dairy-free ice cream. Just a few spoons of it in the ice cream and it feels like a tropical dessert
This one’s a healthy mango ice cream recipe and thus a complete no to refined sugars. Honey adds some extra sweetness to the ice cream and is good for you as well. You may adjust the quantity of honey according to your taste. It also depends on how sour or sweet the mangoes are
Almond Flakes & Mango chunks (Toppings for our Healthy Ice cream recipe)
These are toppings that are completely optional. You may or may not add them. I personally love adding almond flakes to mango ice cream. Almonds and mangoes are a match made in heaven. Mango chunks just add some more richness to this ice cream. All you need to do is fold in the mango chunks and almond flakes into the blended mixture

How To Make Mango Icecream (Healthy Version)
- 250 grams mango, roughly chopped
- 3 tablespoons desiccated coconut
- 2 medium frozen bananas, chopped
- 2 tablespoons honey, or as per taste
- 150 grams mango chunks
- 30 grams almond flakes
- In a blender, add the chopped 250 grams mango, frozen bananas, desiccated coconut and honey. Blend until it forms a smooth paste
- Pour this in an airtight container. Add the 150 grams of mango chunks and almond flakes to this mixture. Roughly mix and close the airtight container well, freeze for 8 hours (you can even enjoy the icecream mixture without the freezing process)
- Or after 8 hours, dip an ice cream scooper in warm water and scoop out the mango icecream into a bowl. Top it up with mint leaves and serve
