These No Bake Chocolate Prunes Almond Granola Bars are delicious and healthy. They are rich and filling, easy to make and loaded with the goodness of Oats. It’s a perfect snack when your hungry and also a good snack option for kids at school

Ingredients

  • 225 grams almond butter
  • 100 grams salted butter room temperature
  • 80 grams honey
  • 120 grams dark chocolate finely chopped
  • 30 grams almonds
  • 6-8 prunes roughly chopped (dried plums unsoaked in sugar syrup)
  • 200 grams rolled oats

Instructions

  • On a baking tray lined with parchment paper, place the rolled oats and almonds. Toast them in a preheated oven at 160 degrees C for 15 mins. Once done remove from the oven and let it come to room temperature
  • Chop the almonds roughly and set aside
  • In a pan place the almond butter, honey and salted butter. On medium heat cook this mixture until well melted. Make sure to stir constantly.
  • Once the mixture has melted with no lumps switch off the gas and add the chopped dark chocolate. Mix well. The chocolate will melt in the heat. Let this mixture cool a bit, you do not want it hot. The mixture should be warm while adding the remaining ingredients
  • Once the mixture is warm add the rolled oats, chopped almonds & prunes. Mix all the ingredients and transfer this mixture to a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Even-out the mixture in the dish and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  • Once firm, remove from the dish and cut into bars as required and serve
