These Homemade Butter Cookies is the best cookie recipe that is easy and buttery just like a Danish cookie
- 115 grams salted butter, room temperature ½ cup
- 65 grams icing sugar ½ cup
- ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- 1 egg yolk
- 140 grams all purpose flour 1 cup
- 2 tablespoons cornflour 18 grams
In a bowl, combine the salted butter, icing sugar and vanilla essence. Beat well until creamy
Next, add the cream and egg yolk to this mixture and continue beating
Lastly, add the all purpose flour and cornflour too. Mix well, making sure there are no lumps
Pour the mixture into a piping bag fitted with the wilton 1M nozzle. Pipe the cookies onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper making sure each cookie is at a distance from the other
Place this tray in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before baking. Once chilled, bake these at 170 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown
Once baked, let the cookies sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving. This lets the cookie get a little crisp
