Chocolate Sheera

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup water 180 ml
  • ¾ cup milk 180 ml
  • ¼ cup sugar, or add as per taste 50 grams
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder 7 grams
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate, chopped 40 grams
  • 2 tbsps pure ghee (clarified butter) 30 grams
  • ½ cup semolina / rava 90 grams
  • 10 grams Almonds, roasted and chopped 10 almonds

Instructions

  • In a pan, on medium heat combine the milk, water, sugar and cocoa powder. Whisk well until all the sugar has melted. Bring to a boil for a few seconds and switch off the gas. Whisk in the chopped chocolate and mix well until melted
  • In another pan, add the ghee and melt it on slow to medium flame. Add the semolina and keep stirring until roasted for 5 to 7 mins or until you get an aroma from the semolina
  • Next, pour the milk mixture into the rava and keep whisking to make sure there are no lumps. Cover this mixture for 2 mins and stir as required
  • Add the roasted chopped almonds or any nuts of your choice to the prepared sheera. Mix well and serve hot
