These Healthy Blender Brownies are easy low calorie chickpeas based brownies made with nut butter. The brownies are low calorie

Ingredients

  • 200 grams canned chickpeas 1 can
  • 135 grams maple syrup OR honey 1/2 cup
  • 135 grams peanut butter 1/2 cup
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 25 grams almond flour 1/4 cup
  • 16 grams cocoa powder 1/4 cup
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • more chocolate chips, for sprinkling on the top of the brownie

Instructions

  • In a blender, add the strained canned chickpeas with peanut butter, honey and vanilla essence. Blend until it forms a smooth paste
  • Next, add the cocoa powder, almond flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and coconut oil. Blend until well combined. You may have to use a spoon or spatula to mix it initially
  • Once, it forms a smooth mixture in the blender, throw in the chocolate chips and give it a rough stir with a spoon
  • Pour this mixture in a 6-inch baking dish lined with parchment paper. Tap and smoothen the brownie well using a spoon. Sprinkle with more chocolate chips and bake at 180 degrees C for 40 to 45 mins. Remember, the brownie should feel firm when touched but an inserted skewer should not come out dry but be slightly sticky
  • Cool the brownie for 10 mins and then cut into pieces
