Ingredients to make Healthy Strawberry Custard
Strawberries
Feel free to use fresh or frozen strawberries. If your not a strawberry fan, add any berry of your choice. It’s best to use extra ripe berries for better taste
Eggs
Eggs is what gives this custard its thickness and texture, so no substituting this one
Sweetener
Use honey or maple syrup to sweetened this custard. I’ve skipped refined sugar in this step
Greek Yogurt
Greek yogurt is a healthier substitute to cream in this recipe. If not greek yogurt, use regular thick yogurt to make the custard. The thicker the yogurt, the better will the custard be
Castor sugar for the berries
In the first step, we coat the berries with a little bit of castor sugar and set it aside for 5 minutes. This reduces the tarty taste of the berries, so make sure to do this !!
