Ingredients to make smoothie
Strawberries
Smoothies can be made with fresh fruit and even with frozen fruit. It’s the strawberry season here, so I have a lot of fresh strawberries in my kitchen but feel free to use the frozen one’s as well. It’s best to use over ripe strawberries as their sweeter and darker in color giving the smoothie a lovely color and taste
Banana
Smoothies are meant to be thick and banana is the best ingredient to get that texture. Ripe banana’s are best to use as their sweeter. If you want the smoothie to be extra thick and cold, use frozen bananas
Honey (Optional Ingredient)
Honey is an optional ingredient and the quantity of honey depends upon how ripe and sweet the fruits are. You may even skip the ingredient
Milk
Milk helps all the ingredients to grind well in the blender. The consistency of the smoothie can be adjusted by adding less or more milk accordingly. Feel free to use skimmed or low fat milk too

Steps to make strawberry smoothie at home
Step 1 – Roughly chop all the fruit that’s required to make the smoothie. In this case, its bananas and strawberries
Step 2 – Add the strawberries, bananas, milk and honey to the blender. Blend well until smooth. Add the honey as per taste. Use frozen bananas for a thicker and cold smoothie or room temperature is fine too
Step 3 – Pour in a glass and decorate the glass with a strawberry for the final look. Sip it and enjoy the taste of fresh foods in the form of this strawberry smoothie

- 200 grams strawberries, fresh or frozen 1.25 cups roughly chopped
- 2 medium bananas, fresh or frozen roughly chopped
- ¾ cup milk 180 ml
- Honey as per sweetness optional
Instructions
- In a blender, add the chopped strawberries, banaanas, milk and honey. Blend until smooth
- Pour in a glass and decorate the glass with a full strawberry. Enjoy !!
