Ingredients

Cocoa powder

Cocoa powder is one of the most important ingredients. Use the finest quality of dark rich cocoa powder to make this mix. The better the cocoa powder, the better will your hot chocolate taste

Sugar

Sugar is what adds sweetness to this recipe. Castor or breakfast sugar is best to use. It has lesser moisture and thus makes sure the mix stays longer. Feel free to use regular granulated sugar if no option

Corn flour

Cornflour is a thickening agent. This is essential for a thick and silky hot chocolate texture. If no corn flour, the drink will be a simple chocolate drink and not a thick creamy one

Chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

It is optional, but I definitely recommend adding it to the mix. Adding good quality real chocolate chips or chopped chocolate chunks yields a richer taste. Pure dark chocolate or milk chocolate would be great !! So no skipping this one

Salt

A pinch of salt is key to bring out all the flavors

Does hot chocolate mix go bad?

Not really !! There is nothing in it that will spoil easily. Skipping the milk powder helps in storing it for a long long time. Store the mixture in an airtight container and use as required

Tip: Always insert a dry spoon in the mix while making a cup of hot chocolate

How to make a cup of hot chocolate using this mixture?
