First of all, I’ve not seen these dessert shots anywhere. As a result, their just a creation of my imagination. I wanted to create something different this Diwali keeping the dessert factor high up there. So, these Rabri shots are easy to make and quick to finish. Make a big lott of these and you will be left with none.

For me, baking is what I do most of the times, but desserts are something I enjoy creating. Moreover, these dessert shots contain stuff that I love the most. Also, they have some Indian origins. However, you can make these just by topping them up with ingredients that you like the most

RECIPES TO MAKE YOUR OWN TOP-UPS FOR THE RABRI DESSERT SHOTS 

So, to make these shots you need these Ingredients, some of which you can make yourself 

RABRI 

Firstly, Rabri is an Indian dessert which is made by thickening sweet milk. I like to make it myself. So here’s sharing my personal recipe with you: RABRI 

MAWA CAKE 

Again! You can buy any cake you like and top it up in these dessert glasses. However, I have to agree that making your own mawa cake will take these shots to the next level. Therefore, here’s sharing my personal recipe with you: MAWA CAKE

RABRI DESSERT SHOTS RECIPE 

Ingredients 

  • 5 pieces motichoor ladoo’s (Indian mithai)
  • 3/4 cup mawa cake, cut into cubes 
  • 2 cups rabri (Indian mithai)
  • 6 rasgullas (Indian mithai)
  • milk, as required 
  • saffron strands, for garnishing 

Method

  • Take 6 shot glasses, wipe them clean with a dry cloth and set aside
  • Using your fingers, crush the motichoor ladoos roughly. Put them in the shot glasses and press slightly to make it the base of this dessert
  • Next, put the chopped mawa cake pieces as the next layer in these dessert shot glasses
  • In a small bowl add a little milk to the rabri if required to adjust the consistency of the rabri. You do want the rabri to be too thick nor too thin. Pour the rabri over the mawa cake  filling  up to 3/4 of the glass
  • Place each rasgulla on the top of the rabri and garnish with saffron strands. Chill and serve
