Ingredients to make this Healthy Raspberry Smoothie Bowl

Raspberries

We’re using frozen raspberries to make this smoothie bowl. However, you may use fresh raspberries too. Ensure you wash them well and freeze them before using, this yields a thick and creamy smoothie. Feel free to use any berries of your choice if not raspberries

Banana

Banana is an important ingredient in a smoothie. Its responsible for that creamy and thick texture. Peel a banana and freeze it before using. Freezing the fruits before making the smoothie bowls always helps with consistency

Sweetener

In this smoothie recipe, I’ve used honey as my sweetener. If not honey, maple syrup works as well. And if not maple syrup just throw in two mushy soft black dates into the blender. Either of these natural sweeteners work well

Chia seeds

Chia seeds are rich in minerals, omega-3 fats, antioxidants and fibre. Adding chia seeds to your diet is excellent. Thus, a tablespoon of this superfood lifts the smoothie bowl higher

Nut Butter

Nuts are good for you. A little bit of nut butter adds flavor and a creamy texture. Use peanut butter, almond butter or any nut butter of your choice

Yogurt

Adding more yogurt makes the smoothie runny and adding less makes it thick. Play around with quantity of yogurt as per thickness. It’s best to use greek yogurt as it has a thick and creamy texture

Toppings of your choice

Smoothier bowls are fun when they have toppings added. From fresh fruits, to seeds, to dry fruits, etc. Its all about what you’d like on your smoothie bowl. Even if its muesli or cornflakes added to it
