The market is all about compound chocolate in India right now however nothing can beat the creations done with couverture chocolate. Couverture chocolate is the REAL CHOCOLATE. It lets you experience the true taste of chocolate in every way. 

Join us at our signature couverture chocolate workshop where we will create some real beauties and learn alot of latest techniques using couverture chocolate.

-Working with cocoa butter

-Working with flavors & pastes 

-Pricing, storing & packaging 

We will be working with a few fillings however you will also be provided with recipes to create some more fillings. Praline paste, fruit coolies, flavored ganache fillings will also be discussed. 

Couverture chocolate creations are different from compound chocolate creations

Welcome to another blog post 

This time it’s all about sesame seeds & Oats. 2 power packed ingredients which are simply good for you. They’ve got so much goodness that you do not want to omit these. 

The cake we making today is called Oats & Sesame Seeds Crumb Cake. The reason we call it a crumb cake is because it feels like moist crumbs when you bite into a piece of cake. This cake is moist, crummy and the sesame seeds add a good crunch to it. 

 

Sesame seeds: They are high in minerals and add a good crunch to your baked goodies. The market has 2 types of sesame seeds available. White sesame seeds and black sesame seeds. I’d like you to use black for this recipe.

Oats: Oats is another ingredient which is packed with nutrients. In this recipe, we going to use it in the form of flour. You can use ready-made oats flour but if you do not have this option just make your own flour at home. To do so, weigh the required oats and put it in a food processor. Pulse until it is ground to a fine powder. Your Oats flour is ready. 

Now that you are all set with the ingredients, get started with the making process. I’m also sharing a video of mine which will help you to bake this one to perfection. 

 

Oats & Sesame Seeds Crumb Cake
Serves 10
Oats and Poppy Seeds are two super ingredients which make this cake super delicious and good for you. Try this simple and easy recipe that yields a crummy yummy cake making your tea time happy and healthy

Ingredients
  1. 2 cups oats flour
  2. 1/4 cup black sesame seeds
  3. 1/2 cup caster sugar or coconut palm sugar
  4. 2 teaspoons baking powder
  5. 3/4 cup dairy milk or soy milk
  6. 1 egg
  7. 6 tablespoon butter, room temperature
  8. 1 teaspoon vanila essence
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, add the oats flour, sugar, baking powder and sesame seeds. Mix well (dry ingredients)
  2. In another bowl, add the butter, egg, milk and vanilla essence. Blend well. (wet ingredients)
  3. Once done combine both, the wet ingredients and dry ingredients. Do not overmix. Just make sure there are no flour lumps.
  4. Pour the batter in a 6 inch baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 80 degrees C for 40 to 50 mins or until and inserted skewer comes out dry
Notes
  1. This cake is crummy. Its perfect for a snack. You do not want to use it for carving purposes under fondant or cream, that would be a complete mismatch

We’ve all heard about sharp edges on ganache cakes, buttercream cake and more .. Whipped cream sharp edges ??? Something unusual ?? 

Well .. Not anymore.

This class focuses on giving you all the knowledge required while working with whipping cream. Whipped cream is not about beating & putting it onto a cake but much much more… 

During this session, you will learn the following 

  • What is whipping cream 

  • Types of whipping cream 

  • How to work on tall cakes with whipped cream 

  • Layering, Stacking, Torting, Filling Techniques

  • Whipping cream consistencies 

  • Coloring Techniques

  • Airbrushing Techniques  

  • Sharp edges Techniques

  • Decorating a whipped cream cake

During this fun session, every participant will be working on their individual cakes. It’s a complete hands on class where each participant will be working on their individual cylindrical cake (tall round cake)

During this masterclass, you will be provided with all the material required (however each student is required to carry their individual turn table and palette knife for the session – ask the class conductor, Alisha for details if unaware)

We will work you through all the knowledge required to make stunning tall whipped cream sharp edged cakes. Our innovative techniques will help you to learn the skill perfectly.

During our master class, we will also provide you with world class recipes that will help you create some stunning & delightful beauties. We believe a cake should taste as good as it looks 

 

Class Fee :

This class consist of a fixed number of students per batch, please book your seats at the earliest. Once seats occupied no more registrations will be taken
